The Receptionist reports to the Human Resource Manager and is responsible for creating a positive first impression for the A Custom Services, Inc. to all callers and visitors. The position is further accountable for the efficient operation of A Custom Services, Inc.'s switchboard and oversight of the reception area and mail distribution.  Representative duties include:
  • Operating a multi-line telephone system. Answering and transferring callers to the appropriate department and staff member. Taking and distributing messages as needed.
  • Greeting, announcing and directing visitors and customers.
  • Opening, sorting and distributing incoming mail and deliveries.
  • Assisting the sales staff with mailings of promotional material.
  • Assisting with the programming of the computerized phone system.
  • Performing general clerical and administrative functions as directed by the Human Resource Manager.
  • Acting as the backup for the Secretary. 
 
Job Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience and physical ability to perform all modern business office clerical roles, including mail distribution.
  • Proficiency in working with a multi-line telephone system.
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to operate all current administrative office equipment including word-processor and other computer equipment, copiers, facsimiles, printers, base radio, etc.
Compensation: $16.00 per hour
