The Sales Manager reports to the General Manager, and is responsible for the management of the Sales Department and implementation and administration of the applicable sections of the corporate strategic plan, and the department budget.

The incumbent is responsible for his/her department's achievement of sales quotas, and frequently needs to work under pressures of time and adverse conditions.  Job-related contacts include all corporate employees, purchasing agents and senior employees of customer companies, etc.  Representative duties include:
  • Establishing the company's sales philosophy, including sales-related policies, objectives, quotas, and budgets, in cooperation with the General Manager.
  • Implementing the Sales Department portions of the strategic plan.
  • Training and educating the sales staff, office staff, service, installation and IAQ technicians in salesmanship techniques.
  • Developing and implementing HVAC-related sales programs and promotional campaigns.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and direction for the sales staff, including the assignment of sales representatives to specific clients.
  • Motivation and organization of the sales staff to achieve maximum sales results.
  • Coordination with all other Department Managers to ensure optimal customer service.
  • Finding, hiring and developing a professional sales staff who can market the company products and services consistent with corporate policy.
  • Attending civic, professional, government and social activities as directed or approved by the General Manager.
  • Establishing sales quotas for each sales representative and directing and motivating each staff member in attaining the goal.
  • Providing annual performance appraisals for all Sales Department employees.
  • Performing related management-level duties as directed by the General Manager.
 
Job Qualifications: 
  • Proven and successful managerial experience in sales and marketing-related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, sales management, and marketing, preferably in HVAC or building-related fields.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to work with all demographic groups in the HVAC field, including customers, suppliers and employees of SoCal Airflow Pros.
  • Current (state) driver’s license.
  • Excellent leadership skills, in order to manage the sales staff and resources in an efficient and effective manner, keeping morale and productivity high.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on a flexible schedule.
  • A B.S. in business or marketing preferred.
 
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technology, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
