Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the HVAC and Refrigeration trade.
Job Duties:
- Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
- Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using electronic and/or soap and water solution.
- Join pipes or tubing to equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form a complete circuit.
- Reassemble and test equipment following repairs
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components or wiring.
- Lay out and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment according to wiring diagrams.
- Install, connect and adjust thermostats, humidistats and timers.
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
- Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
- Perform all phases of preventive maintenance as recommended by manufacturers and Cary Services to prevent failures and prolong the life of the equipment.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have a high school education or GED
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language
- Must have a Texas drivers license and a clean driving record
- Must have at least a type II & III or Universal EPA certification
- Must have or get a Texas ACR certificate.
- Must be able to apply for and get a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- Must have or get basic hand tools for the trade. Major equipment is provided.
- Must have experience servicing and installing all types of commercial HVAC as well as Refrigeration (Ice Machines a PLUS!!)
Additional Information:
The job is full-time, regular employment. (40 hours or more per week) Regular working hours are 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday – Friday. Everything else is considered after hours. Technicians rotate the “on-call” for emergency calls.
