The Service Technician reports to the Service Manager, and is responsible for performing a range of HVAC jobs for light commercial and residential customers.

A Service Technician must be able to accurately diagnose repairs needed on a variety of residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems to the mutual benefit of the customer and JC Warner.  Must be reliable, dependable and willing to learn.

 Duties include:

  • Able to preform routine HVAC service activities without regular on-site assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
  • Communicate upfront pricing before completion of repairs with homeowners and building owners.
  • Provide referrals for qualified leads to the sales staff.
  • Performing related duties as directed by the Service Manager.
 
Job Qualifications: 
  • High school graduate, GED or suitable equivalent.
  • 2+ years HVAC experience preferred.
  • Good verbal and reading skills and to clearly communicate with residential and commercial customers, suppliers, and other JC Warner employees.
  • On-call rotation for after hours, weekends, holidays. 
  • Physically agile and able to work in confined spaces in all weather conditions.
  • Current Maryland drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work under pressures of time, a non-standard schedule, customer needs, and backlog constraints.
Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
