Entry Level Residential HVAC Service Tech Skills & Requirements:
 
None! "Entry-Level" means you don't have to have experience, just the right aptitude, and attitude.

  • You should be good at working with your hands.
  • You should work well with colleagues and customers.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier.
Physical Requirements

The position requires a considerable amount of physical activity including walking, standing for lengthy periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, squatting/kneeling, and reaching/grasping. An equal amount of time spent indoors and outdoors with exposure to hot or cold temperatures for one or more hours.

Entry Level Residential HVAC Service Tech Responsibilities:

  • Build a healthy relationship with field leadership, and peers.
  • Performing supervised and unsupervised basic HVAC service support activities (after having been shown all safety-related aspects of the role and the expected standards)
  • Maintain a complete understanding of diagrams, blueprints, and spec sheets to properly install equipment. Properly run metal/duct board trunk lines, PVC flues, and b-vent metal flues.
  • Set new furnaces, air handlers, and outdoor equipment.
  • Install and troubleshoot equipment (humidifiers, UV lights, etc.).
  • Performing progressively more difficult technical roles than noted in the preceding paragraph under the direct supervision of a Service Technician or a Senior Service Technician
  • Attend training as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour
