IAQ Technician

The IAQ Technician reports to the IAQ Manager and is responsible for performing a range of indoor air quality services for commercial and residential customers.

Customer-based activities involved in this position require an individual who is decisive, tactful, dependable, and who possesses initiative and within the scope of his or her experience, the ability to communicate well with all customer groups.  Job-related contact can occur with virtually all demographic groups, with the majority of the contacts being IAQ customers, other OverCool LLC technicians, IAQ Manager and the Parts Runners. Representative duties include:
  • Serving as part of ad hoc IAQ teams which are organized to conduct a wide range of commercial and residential IAQ services.
  • Performing routine indoor air quality service activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
  • Assisting the Senior IAQ Technician(s) in the training of other OverCool LLC employees in indoor air quality subjects, including air purification, duct cleaning, customer protocols, and others.
  • Conducting non-IAQ work in support of the Service and Installation Departments, as assigned.
  • Conducting point-of-work sales of IAQ services, unit components, unit replacements, add-on units, and residential service contracts; developing lead referrals for the OverCool LLC sales staff.
  • Performing related duties as assigned by the IAQ Manager.
 
Job Qualifications: 
  • High school graduate and graduate of a post-secondary HVACR program of instruction of two or more years in duration.
  • One or more years of proven, successful, and full-time HVACR experience, either as a service, installation or IAQ technician.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate with residential and commercial customers, suppliers, and OverCool LLC employees.
  • Physical ability to perform all the duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances, and weather extremes found in the (state).
  • Interest and initiative to develop his or her HVACR skills through a combination of formal schooling, company training, self-study, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities.
  • Hold a current (state) operator's license and the ability to operate all vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment.  Incumbent must be insurable by current OverCool LLC insurance carrier.
Compensation: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
