The Designer analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare ACCA-based heat load calculations and designs for new residential construction homes.

 Representative duties include:
  • Reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements, and preparing itemized lists.
  • Computing cost factors and preparing estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
  • Conducting special studies to increase cost-effectiveness of projects.
  • Consulting with clients, vendors, and Department Managers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Cooperating with the Service and IAQ Departments on projects as assigned by the Installation Manager.
 
Job Qualifications: 
  • B.S. in Engineering preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as an HVAC designer.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers..
  • Knowledge and experience with geometry and trigonometry, and the ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentage ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technology, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Wrightsoft, & AutoCA used in the design process.

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $100.00 - $2,000.00 per week
