The HVAC Comfort Specialist reports to the Install Manager, and is responsible for conducting a wide range of sales activities in support of the Install Department and the corporate strategic plan.

Comfort Specialist job duties include:

  • Data entry: Registering equipment, entering new accounts, invoicing, setting up appointments, and dispatching.
  • Managing schedules for site visits and meeting with potential customers. Estimating and selling installation jobs, follow up with customers on open estimates and walking them through the process to help guarantee the sale.
  • Conducting post-sale follow-up with customers to ensure all sales agreements have been accomplished, and customers are satisfied with all aspects of the transaction. Including customer reviews on all online platforms.
  • Maintaining a working relationship with service, installation, and IAQ Departments to ensure familiarity with services and products offered, and roles.
  • Maintaining liaison with product representatives and local suppliers to stay abreast of product lines, promotions, trends and changes.
  • Maintaining and improving his or her sales skills and HVACR knowledge through self-study, product seminars, corporate training, and self-improvement courses.
  • Selling service and maintenance agreements, following up with all the customers who are sold an agreement to ensure the agreement is renewed.
  • Maintaining written and electronic records of sales-related leads, contacts, referrals, suspense items, future opportunities, follow-ups, and key names and addresses.
  • Participating in dealer and corporate sales promotions.
  • Responding to written and telephone inquiries that are sales-related, or could lead to a sales-related dialogue.
  • Conducting himself/herself in a professional manner to echo the ethical standards of the corporation.
  • Performing related sales duties as directed by the Install Manager.
 
Job Qualifications: 
  • Be a skilled and experienced salesperson with a proven record of direct sales experience, including a record as a strong sales closer.
  • Experience in sales-related marketing in the HVACR or building service fields.
  • Possessing excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to sell to a wide range of customers; e.g. residential, commercial and industrial.
  • Physical ability to conduct sales work-ups on actual job-sites, and under adverse weather conditions.
  • Current (state) driver’s license.
  • Be a self-motivated, extrovert, tactful, organized, goals-oriented professional.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technology, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms. 
Compensation: $30.00 per hour
