Mechanical Engineer - HVAC & Plumbing Job Description:

  • Responsible for 3D HVAC and plumbing drawings, connecting systems, sizing and tagging
  • Ensures schedules, key notes, and specs are up to date
  • BIM360 setup, coordination and management
  • Interface with equipment suppliers as needed
  • Performs HVAC and Plumbing load calculations
  • Source cut sheets for all equipment in project including setup and augment sheets
  • Insert HVAC loads, plumbing loads, gas loads/diagram, DSB reports, custom equipment cut sheets, into job sheets.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal team with/on behalf of project engineer as needed
  • Take site visits as needed to confirm existing equipment/sizing or plan conformance
  • Participates in occasional installations for different types of equipment--usually your own designs
  • Builds positive relationships with customers and team
  • Maintains a positive attitude and supports GUNTHERS Core Values and Mission
  • Completes any additional tasks as assigned by Engineering Managers
Mechanical Engineer - HVAC & Plumbing Job Qualifications:

  • Experience with HVAC and/or Plumbing installation and specifications helpful.
  • Experience working with Revit MEP 2020-2024 preferred
  • BIM 360 experience desired
  • Navisworks is preferred
  • Standard work hours to flexible work hours
  • Organized, customer service oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Remains calm and productive under deadlines.
  • Self-starter, self-managed and productivity-focused candidate preferred.
  • Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Participate in whole-team meetings, morning standup, schematics, and peer reviews
  • 1+ years of HVAC and/or plumbing design experience preferred, but not required
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is a bonus
  • Same-day travel to customer sites is required.
  • Follows GUNTHERS dress and appearance standards.
  • GUNTHERS is a smoke-free environment – no smoking or vaping.
