We are looking for a reliable and detailed oriented Accounting professional.
- Must have a strong work ethic, great attitude, team player and have the ability to meet deadlines. QuickBooks Online experience is a plus
- Managing Accounts Payable using cycling processing Purchase Order, vendor invoices, monthly statements, and banking transactions
- Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
- Purchasing Experience – familiar with the Purchasing cycle
- Opportunity to analyze and improve processes internally and throughout Accounting Department
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensuring vendor invoices and AP aging list are presented to be paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Tracking and processing of credits per department procedures
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling vendor accounts monthly.
The Accounts Payable Specialist controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. We are seeking an experienced candidate who can assign invoices to the proper cost centers, work with vendors to resolve past due invoices and reconcile monthly statements with vendors.

Job Qualifications:
- B.S. in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Proven record of success as an accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an accountant for a medium to large-sized business, preferably an HVACR contractor or building-related services industry.
- In-depth understanding and working experience with computerized accounting.
- Ability to develop and implement quality control processes for the accounting function.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Excellent people skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proven understanding of federal, state and local accounting laws and regulations and ability to implement them, and ensure compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technology, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, finance software as used by company, and social media platforms. Experience in ( business accounting and management information system software.
Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
