Lead HVAC Technician Technical Lead)

Leaky’s Water and Air (formerly Rowe Heating and Air) is hiring a Lead HVAC Technician to serve as the technical lead for our service team and new construction projects. We’re looking for someone with deep technical confidence, and leadership skills.

This role is ideal for an experienced technician who can handle complex diagnostics, lead field teams, support new construction design, and be the internal technical expert that others rely on.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as Technical Lead for the service and installation department—supporting other techs with advanced troubleshooting and job guidance

  • Lead residential, commercial, and light industrial HVAC service jobs

  • Design system layouts and order equipment for new construction projects

  • Serve as the go-to resource in the office for complex technical questions and field support

  • Train and mentor junior technicians

  • Assist with quality control checks and job walk-throughs

  • Promote IAQ solutions, system upgrades, and service contracts

  • Support dispatch, job planning, and project coordination with the Service Manager

What We’re Looking For:

  • Texas HVAC Contractor License (Required) or you must be able to get licensed within 90 days.

  • 5+ years of full-time HVAC service and/or install experience

  • Strong experience in new construction design, equipment selection, and job staging

  • High-level troubleshooting, diagnostic, and technical support skills

  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals

  • Natural leader and mentor for field techs

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Valid Texas driver’s license and insurable driving record
