Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Boiler Technician to join our Service Department. This is not an entry-level position — it requires proven technical skill, professional judgment, and in-depth knowledge of hydronic and boiler systems.
As a Boiler Technician, you will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on residential and light commercial boilers, ensuring safety, reliability, and energy efficiency. This position offers excellent benefits and career growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work on residential and commercial boiler systems.
- Conduct combustion analysis and make precise adjustments for safety and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot issues with hydronic components such as pumps, valves, piping, and controls.
- Install and commission new boiler systems and associated equipment.
- Mentor and assist junior technicians with boiler operations and service procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to support IAQ, Installation, and Electrical projects as needed.
- Accurately document all work performed and communicate effectively with customers and management.
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades, service agreements, and energy improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable boiler service experience (residential and/or commercial).

Formal HVACR or Boiler Training Program completion (2+ years preferred).
- Strong technical expertise in hydronic heating and combustion systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and insurability through company carrier.
- EPA Universal Certification (required).
- Manufacturer certifications (Lochinvar, Burnham, Weil-McLain, Viessmann, etc.) are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
- Physically capable of performing work in a variety of environments (indoors/outdoors, confined spaces, rooftops).
