About the Role
The Part-Time Bookkeeper role includes payroll preparation, accounts payable, and
financial recordkeeping tasks.
This is a hands-on, operational bookkeeping role with defined processes and
predictable weekly cycles. You will provide financials for management and our CPA.
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare weekly payroll information
(timesheets due Friday → payroll submitted Monday by 9:00am)
● Coordinate with our third-party payroll company for processing, review, and
recording of payroll information.
● Manage Accounts Payable using an existing payment-prioritization process
● Track Accounts Receivable and identify overdue invoices
● Enter, reconcile, and review transactions in QuickBooks Desktop
● Verify financial data from our Field Service Management (FSM) software
(Workiz, similar to Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber) as recorded to the
general ledger
● Maintain organized financial records for CPA review
● Basic financial reporting as needed
Qualifications
● Bookkeeping experience required (HVAC or construction a plus)
● Payroll preparation experience required
● Strong QuickBooks Desktop skills
● Organized, accurate, and deadline-driven
Schedule
● Approximately 3 days per week
● Hours centered around payroll and AP cycles, can be flexible, should be day
driven
