Anderson Mechanical is hiring an experienced HVAC/R Service Technician for immediate placement. This role is for a true troubleshooter who can handle residential and light-to-medium commercial diagnostics and repair with professionalism and urgency.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems: split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, package units/RTUs, gas furnaces, mini-splits (refrigeration experience a plus).
- Perform advanced troubleshooting: electrical (low/high voltage), motors, contactors, capacitors, boards, safeties, controls basics.
- Check and document system performance: refrigerant charge, airflow/static pressure, temp split, superheat/subcooling, drains/condensate.
- Communicate findings and repair options clearly to customers and dispatch.
- Complete accurate job notes, photos, parts usage, and recommendations.
- Follow safety standards and code best practices.
Required Qualifications (Must Have)

4+ years HVAC/R service experience (residential + commercial preferred)

EPA certification (active/current) — Universal preferred

Valid driver’s license + clean/insurable driving record
- Ability to pass background check + drug screening
- Strong diagnostic skills, reliability, and customer-facing professionalism
Preferred (A Big Plus)
- Additional certifications (NATE, HVAC Excellence, etc.)
- Experience with RTUs, controls basics, and refrigeration diagnostics
- Local licensing applicable to your role level (must be active/current if held)
Work Conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in attics/crawlspaces/rooftops, and work outdoors in Gulf Coast weather
- On-call rotation may apply

- Based in Pascagoula, MS – servicing the Mississippi & Alabama Gulf Coast
