Gas Service Technician II

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Service Technician II to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to safe and efficient gas service operations while advancing their technical expertise. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems and appliances in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with gas lines, meters, regulators, and related equipment.
- Test and verify the integrity of gas systems, ensuring proper operation and safety standards.
- Document service activities accurately and maintain detailed records of work performed.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with customers regarding service procedures and safety precautions.
- Assist in training junior technicians and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Gas Service Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of gas systems and safety protocols.
- Valid gas technician license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Knowledge of gas codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–5 years of experience in gas utility, HVAC, plumbing, or related field
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Working knowledge of gas distribution systems and service procedures
  • Ability to work independently and make sound safety decisions in the field
Compensation: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
