We are looking for a qualified individual to produce accurate commercial HVAC estimates in a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical estimating background with 3+ years of experience. This position will work directly with management to estimate and bid on projects.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Review and understand plans, specs, and bid request information
  • Knowledgeable in estimating; capable of sheet metal and duct system take-off
  • Read equipment schedules and fabrication standards and incorporate information to complete bid package
  • Request Equipment quotes from vendors & ability to compare vendor quotes to project equipment schedules
  • Understand HVAC design principles
  • Prepare customer proposals
  • Confirm proposals/bids on a scheduled, timely basis
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Follow-up on proposals after bid
  • Our commercial takeoffs are done using Quotesoft, experience with this platform is preferred.
Job Requirements:
  • Attention to detail
  • Communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with CAD (a plus)
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work with others
  • Mechanical background
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of related experience is required.
