Work Hours: 7:30 – 4:00, Monday through Friday, overtime as required.
Primary Job Function: As an HVAC Warehouse Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our HVAC warehouse. You will be responsible for managing inventory, receiving and shipping HVAC equipment and parts, and ensuring that all warehouse activities are conducted in a safe and organized manner. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a well-maintained and organized warehouse environment.
Reports To: Installation Manager/Service Manager
Requirements: Good driving record, basic computer skills, ability to operate warehouse equipment
Responsibilites
1. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records of HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and address them promptly.
- Receiving and Shipping:
- Receive incoming shipments of HVAC equipment and materials.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments and inspect products for damage.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
- Warehouse Organization:
- Organize the warehouse to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Properly store and label all items in accordance with company procedures.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect HVAC equipment and parts for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Customer Service:
- Assist customers and internal staff in locating and retrieving items from the warehouse.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer inquiries about available inventory.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Daily Duties:
Check in all deliveries
Help load installers trucks
Stage all new installations
Put away or return to vendor all returnable materials
Do quick physical inventory and make reorder list for installation manager and/or service manager to approve
Make trips to vendors as required to pickup parts
Deliver parts as needed to installers and service technicians
Pull and distribute all materials needed for next day service calls
Replenish service technicians with parts used from previous day
Replenish technicians with incidental parts used from text messages
Recycle old equipment
Put away returned service parts on return shelf
Maintain shop cleanliness
Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
