Location: Boston, MA

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper-Quickbooks Specialist with HVAC industry experience to join our team in the Boston area. This is an excellent opportunity to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of our company.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage daily bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Online
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Enter vendor invoices and customer payments
  • Prepare and send customer invoices
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Maintain accurate vendor and customer records
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections
  • Process vendor payments
  • Review transactions for proper coding and accuracy
  • Assist with payroll reporting and payroll-related bookkeeping as needed
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records
  • Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
  • Track expenses and assist with job costing
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
  • Resolve billing, vendor, and accounting discrepancies
  • Assist management with financial reports and accounting-related projects
Requirements
  • HVAC industry experience REQUIRED
  • QuickBooks Online experience REQUIRED
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
  • Strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
  • Experience with job costing in an HVAC or service environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles
  • Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
