Project Engineer Job Summary: Project managing and engineering for L.C. Anderson construction projects. Position reports to President of Construction.
Annual Salary: $70,000-85,000
Benefits:
· 10 days paid time off (this includes vacation, sick, personal time, funeral, etc.)
· 10 paid holidays (7 scheduled and 3 floaters).
· 100% company-paid health insurance. The current plan is provided through Cigna which has a small copay for office visits and prescription and a deductible ($2,000 individual and $4,000 family – reimbursed by LCA 50%).
· Long Term Disability Insurance (LTD) through Mutual of Omaha currently.
· 401K retirement program. Matching dollar for dollar up to 4% of gross pay (calculated with profit sharing).
· Profit sharing. 5-10% of end of year pay based on performance of individual, performance of division, and performance of company (if the company is not profitable, profit sharing does not apply).
· Professional training (in-house and partial reimbursement for outside applicable classes).

Qualifications:
o Mechanical Engineer (BSME)
o Background in HVAC through schooling or field experience
o Current drivers license and clean driving record
Key Job Requirements:
o Interact with clients (owners and general contractors) and generate business
o Accurately estimate costs associated with construction projects and generate quotations
o Read, understand, and estimate costs associated with construction projects
o Coordinate project manage and oversee execution of construction projects in accordance with plans, specifications, and design build write up
o Generate HVAC load estimate
o Understanding and ability to use AutoCAD
o Coordinate with construction manager to schedule construction technicians to meet required project deadlines
o Responsible for ownership of project including coordinating with client, attending on site construction meetings, ordering equipment and subcontractors, scheduling work and tracking costs
o Meeting construction schedule and customers requirements
o Responsible for project profitability
o Recognizing and pricing additional work (change orders) in a timely fashion
o Work well with other L.C. Anderson employees, L.C. Anderson subcontractors, customer (i.e. General Contractor or End User) and other trades on project
o Flexibility and ability to adapt to each unique project or situation
o Flexibility and ability to work outside of standard working hours, when required by project, rigger, project schedule, or work backlog
o Ability to get multiple quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and purchase equipment and write subcontracts
o Perform any other task which may be required, as directed by Vice President of Construction
o Make sure all work is done in a professional manner: neat, clean, timely, and meeting customer needs with as little inconvenience as possible to the customer
o Assist other departments when required, or when construction is slow
o Responsible for expanding personal knowledge through ongoing training and schooling
o In the event of an unresolved conflict on a project, involve management for a decision
o Be customer focused and exceed customer’s expectations and build long term relationships with clients
Overall, provide professional courteous service where customer feels he received quality service for the money spent and will be a repeat customer.
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
