The Installation Manager reports to the Owner-Team and is responsible for the management, administration, growth and profitability of the Installation Department.

Initiative, decisiveness, tact, integrity, judgment, leadership skills and technical knowledge are essential to achieving departmental and corporate goals. Job-related contact can occur virtually with all demographic groups, with the majority of daily contacts being with installers and departmental customers. Representative duties include:
- Planning, organizing, and coordinating all aspects of the Installation Department.
- Scheduling jobs based on the known or expected complexity of the perceived work against the capabilities of available technicians and the planned or promised completion time/date.
- Managing equipment, special tools, vehicles and parts needs for the Department.
- Managing and leading the on-site efforts of employees and subcontractors in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Training designated employees in proper installation procedures, practices, and promotion of customer satisfaction guarantee philosophy
- Working with other Managers and employees in support of all facets of the Installation Department.
- Working with other Managers and the Owner-Team in support of the corporate goals, mission and vision.
- Resolving customer concerns and complaints in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Performing management level duties as directed by the General Manager.
- Implementing quality control procedures for the Installation Department to ensure optimal customer service, efficient use of equipment and time, and meeting of departmental strategic and budgetary goals.
Job Qualifications:
- Five or more years of combined practical and academic experience in the full range of HVACR sub-fields, including the experience to analyze a typical field situation and provide a timely, correct solution, with at least 3 years of it in a supervisory capacity.
- Ability to successfully direct and coordinate the requirements of the customers, employees, outside suppliers, delivery schedules, and subcontractors.
- Ability to negotiate orders with suppliers and vendors to ensure prompt and timely delivery at the lowest possible price.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to work equally well with potential customers, customers, employees, support team members, and the general public.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills to motivate his/her employees to higher achievements and to keep the departmental morale high.
- Ability to visit departmental employees at the actual job-site, e.g. rooftops, crawl spaces, refrigeration rooms, confined spaces, etc.
- Skill and ability in promoting and selling new installation jobs on the phone and face-to-face.
- Ability to comprehend and implement applicable HVACR-related federal, state, and local government laws, codes and regulations.
- Current (state) driver’s license and the ability to drive all types of vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment. Incumbent must be insurable by current insurance carrier.

Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
